Back home update
I know of your prayers because they lifted me when I was down and sustained me when I grew weak. Late yesterday afternoon, I was finally released from the hospital after eleven days. I was well cared for by the team of doctors and nurses, and I felt they were there for me day and night. Kindness, gentleness, concern, and care were shown throughout my stay, and I hope I was the same in return.
It’s scary to be back in the hospital two years after the transplant. Rejection is no minor matter. Complications, abnormal labs, no Mass, and lack of movement drain one’s body and soul. I was reminded that I may be weak, but He is strong. He maketh me lie down in green pastures.
I received another visit from a local Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at the hospital on Sunday and at home today. Strength to persevere! God knows what we need and sends it when we’re ready. I am so blessed by His action in you, as your prayers are so efficacious and deeply appreciated!
